Karlsruher Institut fur Technologie Orchestra Staged a Concert at Zhejiang University

On the evening of October 15, KTT Symphony Orchestra of Karlsruher Institut fur Technologie brought a symphony feast for Zhejiang university teachers and students at Zijingang Theater.

Director Wu Yehai of Department of Public Physical and Art Education and Deputy Head of KTT Symphony Orchestra Ms. Dehen gave a speech respectively and exchanged gifts on behalf of the two universities. The concert started with passionat “Flying Dutchman Overture”. The beautiful music led the audience into a dream world created by the composer Wagner. Then renowned French cellist Romain Garioud performed Cello Concerto No. 1 (Shostakovich). Wenqin Symphony Orchestra presented the First Movement of Symphony No. 9 (Dvorak). KTT Symphony Orchestra brought Symphony No.2 (Brahms). At last, KTT Symphony Orchestra and Wenqin Symphony Orchestra played the 5th Hungarian Dance of Brahms together. In prolonged applause, Zhejiang University students presented flowers to the members of KTT Symphony Orchestra.

After the concert, members of KTT Symphony Orchestra and Wenqin Symphony Orchestra had dinner in the canteen, exchanging gifts and understandings of music.
