Zhejiang University Alumni Mid-Autumn Festival Folk Concert

On the evening of September 13, jointly organized by Zhejiang University Alumni Association and Department of Public Physical and Art Education, Wenqin Chinese Orchestra of Zhejiang University staged a mid-autumn festival folk concert at Zijingang Theatre. With folk music, alumni from all over the country came back to ZJU campus to celebrate Mid-autumn festival and the glory of alma mater.

Headed by conductor Zhou Yiru, Wenqin Chinese Orchestra had made a series of impressive achievements, including the first prize at the Third National College Art Exhibition. The concert presented brilliant performances of the orchestra. Tracks played at the visual and audio feast included “Festival Overture”, “Chungui Meng”, “Lugou Xiaoyue”, “Jasmine”, “Shuangxing Jian”, “Silk Road” and so on. People participating in the event included Jin Haiyan, Director of Zhejiang University Development and Liaison Office, Chen Hong, Chair of Zhejiang University Alumni Association, Zhou Cong, Deputy Director of Department of Public Physical and Art Education, and so on. Chen Hong highly praised the concert and expressed hopes for the performance of Wenqin Chinese Orchestra at next Mid-autumn festival. Jin Haiyan expressed congratulation on the success of the concert. Zhou Cong gave affirmation to the hard work of orchestra members.
