Invited by University of Bridgeport, Connecticut, Zhejiang University high-level women’s volleyball team went to Connecticut for a 10-day training and competition.

University of Bridgeport was founded in 1927. Its women’s volleyball team is the champion of northeastern U.S. college teams. On the evening of September 17, the first match between ZJU team and Bridgeport team was held. ZJU team won the host with 3:0.

Before the second match on Sep. 19, the former president of University of Bridgeport came to visit ZJU team with his wife. The game attracted many spectators. Chinese students’ union organized Chinese students to cheer for ZJU team. ZJU team and Bridgeport team won two sets before the final one. The game climaxed in the final set with members of both team striving for victory. Eventually ZJU team won the deciding set with 16:14 and enjoyed victory for the whole game.
